Tokyo-based producer and Live PA artist Shintarø Kanie has been one of the driving forces behind Japan’s emerging techno scene since 1999. Known for pushing the boundaries of live performance, he continuously expands the limits of techno by merging the full spectrum of his influences into a powerful and relentless live experience.

Deeply inspired by the industrial intensity of Tokyo, Kanie gradually developed a distinctive dark sonic identity that has brought him to the forefront of the international techno circuit. His performances have taken him across Japan and beyond, including appearances at Vent Tokyo, Contact Tokyo, Womb Tokyo, Circus Tokyo, Solfa, and White Space Lab.

Internationally, he has brought his live energy to Germany at AVA Club Berlin, VOID Berlin, and Der Weiße Hase Berlin; to France at Inox Electronic Club Toulouse; to the Netherlands at Panama Amsterdam; to Portugal at Hard Club Porto; to Italy at Opera Beach Arena Sardinia; to the United Kingdom at Electrowerkz London and Rhythm Factory London; to Slovenia at TrainStation SubArt; and to South Korea at Volnost Seoul.

As a producer, he is affiliated with ExNOX, EXPERIMENT [Re-Cords], and OMEN Recordings, continuously shaping a sound defined by hypnotic tension, industrial depth, and uncompromising intensity.
